課程概述	This course provides an integrated analysis of China's economic boom of the past three decades. Topics covered include the demographic factor in China's transition, education and the Chinese labor market in the reform era, environmental resources and economic growth, science and technology, the political economy of private sector development , the role of law in China's economic development, agriculture in China's development, China's financial system, China's industrial development, China's embrace of globalization, growth and structural transformation, and income inequality during China's economic transition. 上課時間: 星期五 18:30-20:10
課程目標	This course aims to provide students with a basic understanding of the modern Chinese economy and society. Students will develop the ability to comprehend and analyze major theoretical and policy issues in China's economic and social transformation and their implications for the rest of the world. 評分方式: 1.課堂報告 40% 針對上課資料撰寫書面報告、並進行課堂報告 2.課堂出席並參與討論 30% 3.期末論文一篇 30% 長度必須在十頁（六千字）以內，題目與老師商定，報告格式分為四部分：問題緣由、爭議、評估、與建議。繳交期末報告的期限為最後一堂課。
